THe ITINERARY

  • Pick up TIME

If you have booked the All Day Jeep Tour for your arrival day, we will pick you up from the Resthouse in Wadi Rum Village in the morning. If you have already stayed with us for a night before the Jeep Tour, we will pick you up from the camp after breakfast.

  • Nabatean Temple

Our first stop are the ruins of the Nabatean Temple of Wadi Rum. Located a mere 500m from Wadi Rum Village, it once served as a place of worship for an ancient diety. Today, only the foundations of the centuries-old temple are left.

  • Lawrence’s Spring

The Nabateans possessed valuable knowledge of Wadi Rum and they passed it on in the form of rock inscriptions. Our second stop brings us to Lawrence’s Spring, an important water source for the Wadi rediscovered by Lawrence of Arabia.

  • Al Kazali Canyon

Stop three provides you with a shady hideaway from the relentless desert sun. But Al Kazali Canyon is not only popular for the shade it offers. It is also home to ancient rock drawings depicting an archaic scene of child birth.

  • Small Sand Dune

The rock formations of Wadi Rum are contrasted with sandy dunes from time to time. We will pay a visit to one of these on our tour. Hike up the Small Sand Dune, enjoy the sight of the red sand and get a bird’s eye view of Wadi Rum.

  • Small Rock Bridge

Next, we stop over at the Wadi’s first rock bridge. Small Rock Bridge is a natural rock structure that you can hike up to and walk on. Get a brilliant travel pic before we grab a complimentary tea and journey on on our 4×4 Jeep.

  • Lawrence’s House

Stop Number Seven brings us back to the famous T. E. Lawrence. Today commonly known as Lawrence’s House, the structure has been built by the Nabateans. During his time in the Wadi Rum Desert, Lawrence also took refuge there. Now it is your turn!

  • Lunch Break

Every good explorer needs a break to replenish their energy. Around mid-day we find a resting place in the shade. We will cook up a nice Bedouin lunch for you and wash it down with Bedouin sweet tea and water. After some much-needed rest, we set out again.

  • Mushroom Rock

We start off light after the lunch break and gaze at another natural marvel of Wadi Rum. While it might not seem like it from one side, this rock in the desert, looks like a giant mushroom from the other. Mushroom Rock is a popular stop on every tour through the Wadi Rum desert.

  • Burdah Rock Bridge

More impressive and significantly higher stand the Burdah Rock Bridge. This natural arch is suspended more than ten meters over the ground. Take a snapshot and follow your Bedouin guide deeper into the red desert.

  • ABu Khashaba Canyon

The Canyon cuts through Jebel Khashaba and offers an unusual natural refuge in the Wadi Rum desert. With a maximum width of four meters, the canyon is even home to a number of wild fig trees. Take a walk through the canyon and meet your Bedouin guide on the other side after 30 mins.

  • Umm Froth Bridge

Time to exercise your muscles! Our next stop, yes, another rock bridge, is called Umm Froth Bridge. This natural arch offers itself for an exhilarating 15-minute hike and a selfie of your achievement.

  • Sunset

As the sun comes closer to the horizon we venture on into the White Desert. Facing to the West, it is the perfect spot to watch the sunset. We put down our mats, serve Bedouin tea and witness how the sun turns red and touches the horizon.

  • Camp dinner and shower (Optional)

If you choose to do so, you can return to the camp after sunset to freshen up. Take a shower, indulge in the Bedouin dinner buffet and enjoy the community of the Bedouins and other explorers.

  • Drive to the cave

If you do not want to return to the camp first, we make our way to the cave straight after sunset. If you decide to include the stop at the camp, we will hop back on the Jeep around 9 pm and set out into the night.

  • dinner in the cave (optional)

If you did not have food in the camp yet, your are in for a unique experience. We will cook a traditional Bedouin meal for you in the cave. Straight from the fire, the dinner will tingle your tastebuds while you watch the crackling fire dance.

  • sleep under the stars

Far from the camp, there is almost no light disturbance in the cave. It therefore offers the perfect opportunity to watch the stars at night. Lift your head and see more stars than you have ever seen in your life – you will even be able to see the Milky Way.

  • Breakfast in the cave

Kitted with mats and warm blankets, you will enjoy a full-night’s sleep out in the desert. We rise again once the sun creeps into the cave the next morning. Time for breakfast – cooked up by Your Bedouin guides once again!

  • drive to mountain

Stretch your muscles, enjoy a sweet Bedouin tea and set your eyes on your next target. The voice is yours now. Extend your desert adventure with a thrilling Half Day Hike. Your options are: Jabal Umm Ad Dami, Jabal Al Hash and Burdah Rock Bridge. At 9 am we set out in the Jeep again.

  • Summit hike / Climb

Following a brief ride in our trusty Jeep, we arrive to the starting point of our hikes. From there we get ready to set out on our hiking expedition. We take care of food, water and directions. You make sure to bring energy and hiking boots.

  • Bedouin Lunch and Tea

As the ambitious hiker you are, we are sure that you will make it to the top of the mountain. This achievement has to be celebrated afterwards. We invite you to celebrate it with a nutritious lunch and a Bedouin tea – once again cooked by your Bedouin guide.

  • Sunset (optional)

Do you still have energy left in your tank? Choose to remain at the sight of your hike to catch yet another stunning desert sun set. Comfy mats, more sweet Bedouin tea and good company will make for the perfect atmosphere to close off your desert adventure.

  • Back to Camp

As your desert adventure finally comes to an end after two days of adventuring, we hop onto the Jeep for one last time. Feel the desert breeze on your face as we return to the camp. Grab a shower and freshen up before you get ready to continue your journey through Jordan.
