Pick up TIME

Your Half Day Jeep Tour through the Wadi Rum Desert has two possible starting times. If you arrive to Wadi Rum in the morning, we will pick you up in Wadi Rum Village at 9am and the tour will last until mid-day. If you arrive to Wadi Run Village in the afternoon, we will pick you up at 2 pm and the tour will last until sunset.

Nabatean Temple

The first stop of our Half Day Jeep Tour takes you right down the memory lane of the Wadi Rum desert. We make a stop at the Nabatean Temple. Once a place of worship for the Nabateans, the actual buildings was first built many years before the Nabateans first stepped foot in the wadi.

Lawrence’s Spring

Only a few minutes from Wadi Rum Village we can find the first traces of the famous T. E. Lawrence of Arabia. It was at this place that he rediscovered and ancient spring first found by the Nabateans. Today the inscription Lawrence read is still visible at the foot of the mountain.

Al Kazali Canyon

Several canyons cut through the mountains of Wadi Rum. They create narrow corridors of solitude, shade and life alilke. Walk by the Wild Fig tree and gaze at fascinating rock drawings by the Nabatean civilisation.

Small Sand Dune

A desert without sand is no desert. And Wadi Rum is not Wadi Rum without it‘s characteristically red sand. Therefore the Red Sand Dune we stop by is the perfect antidote to Al Kazali Canyon. Scale the dune and get a bird‘s eye view of the desert beneath you.

Small Rock Bridge

There‘s a lot of bridges in Wadi Rum and none of them were built by human hand. The rock arched of the desert a natural marvels you will find only in a few places in the world. Small Bridge lays on our route deeper into the desert and gives us the perfect opportunity to take a snapshot and replenish with a cup of sweet Bedouin tea.

Umm Froth Bridge

Our next stop listens to the name of Umm Froth Bridge. It is yet another natural stone arch, but this one stands higher and is way more impressive to look at. Take a breather after your canyon hike and take a selfie with the rock bridge to let your family know of your desert adventures.

Sunset (OPTIONAL)

If you started the tour in the afternoon, you will  now see the sun itching closer to the horizon. So, we hop back into the 4×4 Jeep and drive into the White Desert where we will witness the sunset. We put down mats, kick back and enjoy the last light of the day sipping on some more sweet Bedouin tea.

Camp

As the Jeep Tour comes to an end, it is time to make our way back into the heart of the Wadi where we have out Bedouin camp — and your home for the night. Relax your muscles and settle into your tents, but don‘t fall asleep just yet. After sunset in summer and at 7:00 pm in winter we serve our buffet dinner consisting of salads, vegetarian sides, the traditional Zarb and tasty dips.
